Search Faster—Find Easier
For the 2006 upgrade, we’ve added two major performance enhancements that you said were important to you. This
should put a big smile on your face.
- SPEED - The program loads faster and works faster than ever before.
- SIMPLICITY - The interface has been simplified to focus on the functions you use and value the most.
That doesn’t mean that any power or functionality has been lost. You still get all the gospel research and writing
power you’ve come to count on, and more. We’ve just changed the way we handle the data to make it smoother, easier,
and faster for you.
And there is much, much more...
A couple of performance enhancements alone does not constitute an upgrade, so consider these
FIVE KEY REASONS to get the new LDS Library 2006:
- NEW Study Journal
Now you can record every thought or impression you have right in the program as you study
the gospel! Each entry is time and date stamped so you can actually use the program as a permanent electronic
personal journal. Entries are also searchable for easy recall and retrieval. Any scriptural reference or paragraph
in the library that is associated with a journal entry displays a journal icon so you can review or add to your
thoughts whenever you encounter that verse in another context.
- 170 New Titles from Deseret Book & Others
Includes recent works by your favorite church leaders, scholars and
other authors. Both scholarly and inspirational titles offer plenty of current thought on LDS doctrine, history,
and practice. With the 6.1 update we also include a new Subject category; "World Classics". This has 90 titles from non LDS writers and
historical documents. These are documents commonly referred to by LDS Authors.
*(Some titles are still awaiting finalization of agreements with the author before being added. These will be added
in a future content update.)
- BYU Studies 1997 to Present
32 volumes. This EXCLUSIVE content offers some of the greatest gospel scholarship
of the current generation on virtually every gospel topic. Available in electronic format only from LDS Media!
- Software Performance
Incorporates all LDS Collectors Library 2005 5.2 enhancements and more. You get Web-like
Forward & Back buttons, simple “check box” select to limit your search to specific titles, and a simplified work
space that makes it easier to find and use all of the powerful features you rely on.
- LDS Library Companion Software
Now you can enrich your gospel learning experience
even further with LDS Mobile Library and LDS Library Lesson & Talk Builder. Make preparing Lessons and Talks for church more fun and exciting
than ever before with even more learning and teaching options. The LDS Mobile Library offers over 1600 titles for your PDA. You can read from these books wherever you go.
